MANEB Releases MSCE Results 2024 | The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has released the results of the 2024 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.
Out of the 172,434 candidates who sat for the exams, 97,222 passed, representing a pass rate of 54.79%. MANEB Executive Director, Dorothy Nampota, says this is an improvement from the 54.40% pass rate recorded in 2023.
According to Nampota, the top ten performing education districts in descending order in the 2024 MSCE examinations and it is comprised of Zomba Urban at 61.97 percent, Mzuzu City at 61.87 percent, Karonga at 61.13 percent, Dowa at 60.05 percent, Chitipa at 59.81 percent, Nkhotakota at 59.07 percent, Dedza at 58.94 percent, Phalombe at 57.05 percent, Ntchisi at 57.02 percent, and NkhataBay at 56.71 percent.
In her remarks, Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, noted that the 2024 MSCE Examination registered several successes which among others were leakage-free, timely release of results which shows the ministry’s commitment and will enable those willing to repeat to do so.

Out of the 172,434 candidates who sat for the exams, 97,222 passed, representing a pass rate of 54.79%.
MANEB Executive Director, Dorothy Nampota, noted that this is an improvement from the 54.40% pass rate recorded in 2023. She added that 411 out of 734 special needs learners who took the exams were successful.
