Orlando Pirates announce the first new signing for 2024/25 season | Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Delvi Miguel Vieira. The 23-year-old forward, better known as Gilberto, joins the club on a three-year deal after successfully passing a medical examination and finalizing personal terms.
Gilberto joins the Buccaneers after two successful seasons with Angolan Girabola champions Petro du Luanda. His impressive performances, particularly during the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast earlier this year, where he helped guide Angola to the quarterfinals, have made him a standout addition to the team.

Orlando Pirates announce the first new signing for 2024/25 season
Today, Gilberto is set to fly back to Angola to finalize the necessary paperwork. Once completed, he will join the squad for its outbound Preseason Tour to Spain, which begins on July 8. The club is excited to integrate him into the team and look forward to his contributions in the upcoming season.
