Where to Watch 2024 COSAFA Cup LIVE!, Catch all 22 matches of the 2024 COSAFA Cup only DStv!. The 2024 COSAFA Cup will be held in Gqeberha, South Africa, from Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 7 July, with 11 teams from the Council of Southern African Football Associations and the foreign nation of Kenya battling for glory.
Eleven of the COSAFA region’s teams will compete: Eswatini, Comoros, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola, Seychelles, Zimbabwe (returning for the first time since 2021 after the lifting of the FIFA sanction) and the host South Africa.
Madagascar and Mauritius opted not to participate, while Malawi withdrew out of respect for a tragic accident that claimed the life of former vice president Saulos Chilima. Instead, Kenya has entered as a guest team. Harambee Stars appear for the second time in Cosafa, having debuted 11 years ago in 2013 (they were eliminated in the group stage).
This year’s format sees the 12 teams divided into four groups of three, in which round-robin matches are played. The best team in each group advances to the semifinal, as does the second with the best record. The semi-finals are followed by a third-place play-off and a final, both held on Sunday 7 July at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
